Central Coast musician Phoebe Joy is set to drop her brand new single 'Imperative' tomorrow, but you can get an early listen below!
Imperative is a special song to Phoebe Joy, as it signifies a new 'era' or 'style' for her songwriting. She says this song was written in her bedroom, and later brought to life by her producer Josh King.
"He brought my ideas to life, turning my sad song into a pop jam," Joy said.
"I am SO happy with how this song turned out. I had been struggling to find what my songs should communicate but this song came very naturally.
"It is about truely yearning for someone, having all the faith in the world in them, but inevitably having them let you down. It's about catching the blame in this, and feeling guilty for having feelings.
"My hope is that listeners can relate to this song, and feel that they are not alone in what they are feeling!"
